Shipping and Delivery charges are based on the following:
- the delivery company
- the weight, size and dimensions of your item(s)
- your shipping preferences
Items may be shipped by a variety of carriers. The majority of our items are shipped via UPS, FedEx, DHL, Eagle or the U.S. Postal Service. UPS will make between 1-3 delivery attempts.
Shipping rates and packing methods vary by the time of year. From April 15th to October 1st (warm weather months) we take extra precautions and ship via One- or Two-Day Air as needed. This is an extra charge and will be added to your standard shipping cost.
For shipments to warm weather destinations and during the warm weather months we ship orders on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday only - this prevents chocolates from sitting on a delivery truck over a weekend and ensures safe delivery.
We pack each box with special insulation to make certain your chocolates arrive safely; however due to the perishable nature of our product we are not able to ship outside of the U.S.
Standard Shipping and Handling Costs
The easiest way to calculate your shipping costs is to let us do it for you. Simply add all your items to your shopping cart then continue to the checkout. You will come to a Review page with shipping costs posted. After reviewing this page you can submit your order.
The following standard rates are per recipient address (multiple destinations will incur multiple shipping and handling fees):

Special-Distance Fees
Depending on the zip code destination your order may include a special-distance shipping fee in addition to the standard shipping charge. A special-distance fee is added to certain oversized items destined for specific locations. To determine whether this fee applies to your order simply add all your items to your shopping cart then continue to the checkout. You will come to a Review page with shipping costs posted. After reviewing this page you can submit your order. If your order includes any oversized items on which a special-distance shipping fee is noted then this additional fee will be added to the standard shipping charge on each of those items at checkout. The amount of the special-distance fee varies by zip code.
One- and Two-Day Shipping
Requesting either one-day or two-day shipping is a speedy way to get your order to you; however, it doesn’t mean you will receive your order in one or two days. We estimate delivery dates at checkout, taking both shipping time and item availability into consideration. Please keep in mind that there is no weekend delivery for one-day or two-day shipping.
For One-Day Service, add $15 to the standard shipping and handling costs posted above.
For Two-Day Service, add $8 to the standard shipping and handling costs posted above.
Please note: Hawaii, Florida and Alaska must always use one-day or two-day shipping and services to Alaska are not guaranteed as remote areas take longer to reach.
Sales Tax
Local and state sales tax is not charged on food items shipped to addresses in the state of Michigan.
Estimated Shipping Dates
We do our best to accurately estimate when items will ship from our company. Estimated shipping dates are based on several factors including your destination address and demand for certain catalog items.
Our estimated shipping dates are always a range of dates. It's entirely possible for an item that hasn't shipped by the beginning of the date range to still arrive within our stated delivery estimate.
Changing Your Shipping Address
As long as your order has not shipped or is “shipping soon,” you may change the shipping address. Here’s how:

Shipping to Multiple Addresses
We’re unable to ship orders to multiple addresses. If you need to have items in your order shipped to multiple addresses, please place individual orders for each shipping address.
Undeliverable Packages
Occasionally our carriers may deem a package undeliverable for any of the following reasons:
- P.O.Box format. We do not ship to P.O.Boxes and require a physical street address to ship the order to.
- Destination problems. Some organizations have strict delivery restrictions for their residents. These rules are determined independently and may vary.
- Illegible label. In rare cases it is possible that the address became illegible during the shipping and handling process.
- Failed delivery attempt. Most of our carriers make one to three attempts to deliver a package. Packages that contain more than $400 of merchandise may require a signature. After the attempts at delivery, either a note will be left on your door or the package will be returned to us and either an e-mail sent to you or a phone call placed prior to issuing a refund (excluding shipping charges).
- Refused by recipient. If a recipient is not expecting a package they may refuse it if they believe it was sent to them in error. If you still want to send the order you may want to re-order it and let the recipient know that a package is on the way.
When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to us we’ll either send an e-mail or place a call to you prior to issuing a refund (excluding shipping charges).
We are unable to re-ship orders that are returned to us as undeliverable. If you would still like to purchase items that were undeliverable you are welcome to place another order with us using a new shipping address.
